Rules & Regulations
Rigging
Before submitting any rigging request, Exhibitors must read the Venue Rigging Regulations.
The table below provides a summary of the build height restrictions, rigging restrictions and pre-rigging areas. Exhibitors must check with the official rigging supplier in all circumstances.

Rigging Limitations
- The minimum permitted distance between rigging points for suspended elements is 1m.
- The maximum permitted suspended load is 15kg/m², calculated as the ratio between the total weight of the suspended elements and the contracted stand area.
- It is not permitted to lift a truss grid using more than six manual chain hoists.
- Exhibitors planning to use an electric D8+ chain hoist must submit the required documentation.
- The maximum load per rigging point in Halls 1, 2, 5, 7, 8.0 and 8.1 is 150kg (1.47kN). Subject to a technical and structural feasibility study, High Capacity Rigging Points (HCP), with a maximum load of 250kg (2.45kN), may be installed in Halls 1, 2, 5, 7 and 8.1. In all cases, the weight of the lifting equipment itself, including motors and hoists, must be included.
- The maximum load per rigging point in Halls 3, 4 and 6 is 250kg (2.45kN). The weight of the lifting equipment itself, including motors and hoists, must be included.
Submission Deadline
The deadline for submitting rigging projects is 15 December 2026.
Orders may be accepted after the deadline but will be subject to a late-order surcharge.
Complex Suspended Structures
All suspended structures are considered complex structures and require load distribution calculations and structural certification through the official stand plan inspection agencies, except for:
- lighting trusses without cladding that use fewer than 10 rigging points; and
- aluminium and fabric light banners with a maximum weight of 100kg per rigging point, including the weight of the lifting elements.
Structural certification is not required only in these two cases.
All rigged elements must be inspected on-site before being lifted. For further information, refer to the Stand Plan Submission or contact the official rigging supplier directly. Any additional costs are the responsibility of the Exhibitor.
General Requirements
- The rigging height restrictions applicable to the stand space must always be checked before submitting a request.
- All rigging requests and questions must be sent directly to the official rigging supplier.
- Rigging points are not always available. Each request will be assessed individually.
- Stand-specific requirements may apply and must always be followed.
- Fixing points will only be provided when requests fall within the allowed parameters of the stand space.
Information Required by the Official Rigging Supplier
- a fully dimensioned drawing in .dwg format;
- the weight loading of each requested rigging point, taking into account the load at each point and the distance between points; and
- the dimensions of the structure to be suspended.
Installation & Operational Requirements
- All rigging and materials must comply with the Rigging Guidelines and the applicable material specifications.
- The height restrictions specified in the Build Height Restrictions regulation must be observed. Elements must not be suspended above the permitted height limit.
- Rigging orders must be placed by the applicable deadline. Any required rigging will be subject to sufficient time being available to carry out the work.
- All rigging on stands must be completed by the Saturday before the Event. After that day, machinery is not permitted to enter the halls and work at height is not permitted.
- Rigging is not permitted above turnkey packages or public gangways.
- All rigging must be installed by the official rigging supplier.
- All suspended fittings and equipment must be fitted with secondary safety wires or chains and brackets.
- It is strictly prohibited to tamper with any equipment installed by the official rigging supplier.
- Exhibitors' own truss structures are permitted only where they bear the CE mark (European Conformity) and are in perfect working condition.
- Exhibitors and their Contractors are not permitted to suspend elements from the roof trusses themselves.
- All rigging requests will be reviewed by Graó Tècnic.
Hanging Connections
Before any rigged elements are lifted, Exhibitors or their Contractors must notify Graó Tècnic, or contact the Hall Manager, so that the hanging connections can be inspected.
If the connections are not inspected before lifting, any additional costs incurred for inspecting the connections at height will be charged to the Exhibitor.
Rigging points are provided with a ring or hook. Modifying any part of these fittings is not permitted.

Graó Tècnic may request additional technical information. Structural approval may be required for complex rigging structures, and any associated costs will be charged to the Exhibitor.
Designing a Rigging Order
- All rigging requirements must include scaled plans and weights for review.
- The position of the stand must be referenced against the location of neighbouring stands, aisles and doors.
- Each rigging point must be shown using X,Y coordinates, with one corner of the stand used as the coordinate origin (0,0).
- A legend must identify each rigging point and whether it is a simple point, a point with safety steel, a manual chain hoist or an electric chain hoist.
- Rigging point heights at the O-ring must be shown in a table with the corresponding reference number. This is compulsory where hoists are not provided by the official rigging supplier.
- The distance between rigging points for lighting or branding trusses must not exceed 10m.
- The load on each rigging point must be shown on the same drawing, including hoist and truss weight and distance between points.
- AutoCAD drawings should include as much detail as possible, including trusses, lighting, branding, audiovisual equipment and other suspended elements.
- Final heights must be shown in an indicative elevation drawing and measured from the hall floor, not from the stand platform.
All questions relating to rigging must be directed to the official rigging supplier.
