Ramps - Disabled Access
This section sets out the requirements for access ramps where stands include platforms or raised floors higher than 5cm and intended for use by people.
Ramp requirement
Any stand incorporating a platform or raised floor exceeding 5cm in height and intended for use by people must provide an access ramp.
Ramp design requirements
The gradient of any ramp must be uniform and must not exceed 1:10.
Level landings must be provided at the top and bottom of each ramp, and at any intermediate point where an exit door opens onto the ramp.
The minimum width of the ramp must be 1m.
All ramps must be located within the boundaries of the stand space and must not protrude into the aisle.
