Wood Cutting

Woodworking activities such as cutting, sanding, or grinding must be carried out with proper dust control measures in place. To ensure safety and compliance:

· Dust extraction or vacuum systems must be used during sanding or cutting to minimize airborne particles.

· Sanding and cutting should ideally be done off-site or in designated workshop areas away from public zones.

· Protective equipment (e.g. dust masks, goggles) must be worn by workers at all times.

· Accumulated wood dust must be cleaned regularly to prevent fire hazards.

· Activities creating significant dust must be reported and approved by DECC in advance.

· Uncontrolled wood dust generation is strictly prohibited inside the venue due to associated fire and health risks.

All waste resulting from wood cutting, drilling and sanding etc. must be collected and bagged immediately and disposed of in the skips provided.
