Late Work / After Hours Working
Late working, outside of the published build hours, is permissible but needs to be requested in advance. Please submit the After Hours Stand Work Permit Requests Form with your space Only Stand Plan submission by 27 September 2026 for your application to be reviewed.
Exhibitors and contractors choosing to work overnight must adhere to the following conditions. These measures are designed to ensure safety, minimuse risk and maintain operational integrity.
- Approval & Compliance. All activities must comply with DECC veneu regulations, GSMA guidelines and local health & safety laws.
- Contractor Representative. A senior reprensentative from the appointed contractor must be present at all times during overnight/late working. This individual will act as the primary point of contact for safety compliance and emergency issues.
- Shift Patterns & Welfare. Contractors must implement structured shift rotations to prevent fatigue, with a maximum shift length of 8 hours per worker and adequate time for rest. Workers must receive scheduled breaks every 2 hours. Adequate facilities for rest, hydration and nutrition must be provided. Contractors must ensure access to drinking water and suitable food options throughout the night.
- Health & Safety Overnight. Contractors must provide induction and relevant training for all personnel covering safety rules, commong hazards, emergency procedures, medical provision and wellbeing. Contractors must provide PPE including high-visibility vests and helmets which must be worn at all times. Adqeuate lighting must be installed if necessary to ensure visibility and reduce hazards. Work areas must be kept tidy and aisles must be kept clear at all times.
- SSW. Contractors must submit a Safety System of Work (SSW) detailing shift schedules, rest periods and emergency plans
Please Note: Saturday 7 November is "No Build" day - the hall will close at 18:00 and no late working will be permitted. All stand build/construction must be complete by 22:00 on Friday 6 November.
